Licensed or Pre Licensed Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Child and Adolescent Counselor. The Counselor will be responsible for providing play therapy and mental health counseling to children, teens, and adults. The day-to-day tasks associated with this role include conducting therapy sessions, assessing client needs, providing therapy, creating treatment plans, and maintaining client records. The Counselor will also collaborate with other mental health professionals and provide support to clients’ families.
Qualifications
- Experience in providing play therapy and mental health counseling to children and teens
- Knowledge of and experience in treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Truancy, Attachment, and other related issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess client needs and create effective treatment plans
- Experience maintaining client records and ensuring confidentiality
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field
- Licensure Preferred or eligibility for licensure as a Counselor in the state of Colorado
