Erika MFT-C
Erika is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. She specializing in working with children, teens, and families through play therapy and talk therapy. Erika is passionate about creating a supportive environment where children and families can explore emotions, strengthen their relationships, and develop healthy coping skills.
Erika earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University, a program emphasizing family systems and and attachment-based interventions. After graduating Erika began her clinical work in 2024 at a private practice, supporting clients across a range of ages and backgrounds. She has experience supporting children and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, family challenges, and social and emotional development.
Through a child-centered play therapy and attachment-based approach, Erika helps children express feelings that may be difficult to put into words, build emotional awareness, and foster understanding within the family. She works collaboratively with parents to support healthy relationships, model coping strategies, and create a balanced, nurturing environment at home.
In addition to working with children, Erika supports individuals navigating relationship challenges, communication difficulties, burnout, perfectionism, and career or life transitions. Some of her favorite approaches to integrate are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method Therapy, to meet each client’s unique needs.
Erika believes human being deserves understanding, growth, and joy. She values the opportunity to walk alongside her clients as they heal, grow, and rediscover balance. Erika will gladly integrate faith or spiritual perspectives into therapy when requested.
Treatment specialties include: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships and dating, self-esteem, perfectionism, ADHD, burnout, family healing, and career concerns.
